Battery = Energy
I’ve always thought of myself as the “Energizer Bunny”. Some days I just go and go that sometimes I forget that I am not a battery and that some days I just burn myself out. I remember back in my younger days I would get off off work, make plans with my girlfriends and we would go out to dinner and danced the night away. This was my reward after a hard week of intense meetings, travel you name it. Those were definitely good times, but here’s the the catch, I knew when my energy level was at 50% and just knew I needed to slow it down. I’m here to tell you that you need to prioritize the slow, the staying in type of day, get out your favorite face mask, grab a glass a wine and Netflix (this may not be something you may do)..just relax and unwind. It doesn’t necessarily have to be in this order but I hope you get my point. I love long drives and where I live, I’m about an hour from the beach..meet up with my best friend, walk the beach, grab lunch, a good read and watch the waves hit the sand. I identify with water so much that whenever I am down, I love going towards the water there’s something so soothing. Water as you know can also detox the mind and when you go into the water I leave everything there. I send a message and pray to the universe to bring me peace and happiness. Because at the end of the day, I believe that this is something we all desire. The reminder here is that you're not always going to operate at 💯.It’s okay for your mood to change, for you to be tired. We get so caught up in routines especially when you have little ones..whew! this alone is a job in itself..your here running after them making sure you get them to school on time, make them lunch, take them to any activities they may be involved in, get back home make sure they have dinner, bathe, get homework done, spend sometime with them and off to bed they go. Whoever said being a parent was easy, no way possible that is a full job in itself. I did it with three children and some days I was a zombie but I knew that I didn’t no one else would. So remember take time to breathe, relax, and know that you are doing one hell of a phenomenal job..Give yourself the credit! You deserve it! xoxo
